Sooner or Later…

Buzzy Pajamas

The weather here is cold, cold, cold.  Yes I know it isn’t as cold as up North–this is the South, the place where when temperatures dip into the thirties weathermen are warning about frostbite and checking on elderly neighbors.  The same warnings that are given up north gives when wind chills are in the negative numbers.  Once upon a time we were sturdier but that was 14 years ago and now we are just cold.

Our youngest was born here in the south but seems to have kept his northern sturdiness.  Bedtime was a tussle between the son who wanted as little as possible on and me, his frozen mother who wanted complete coverage.  An evening went something like this:  bath, drying: pajama shorts or at least short-sleeve shirts, show everyone cute pj pictures, wait, strip down to underwear, fuss that it isn’t cold and pajamas are too hot:  Repeat between the signs until bedtime.

That’s how its been until February came and brought the cold.  Then he had to wear his footie pajamas–all that sickness left only warm fuzzy nightwear in the dresser.  Oh how he fussed.  Until now.  Now he fusses when asked to change into daywear.  But these are warm… Yes, but mommy can’t take you to the store in those…But these are warm…

So last night Daddy asked him what he was wearing .

Buzzy Pajamas

Next brother up had to chime in ‘those aren’t Buzz [Lightyear] those are dinosaurs’

No they buzzy pajamas not dine-do-saurs

Repeat until the lights came on buzzy is fuzzy!!  So a quick lesson on ffff  complete with disappearing lower lip and lots of moisture.  ffffuzzy…ffffuzzy…ffffuzzy

Hurray!! Oh and go tell brother what you are wearing.
