Sooner or Later…

I’m going to be a grandma!!

Our oldest, Grits, made her formal announcement for friends on her blog.  Yes it took a minute for me to realize that the caked did NOT read “Happy Birthday David” with squiggles underneath.  Instead, it read:

“Happy Birthday Daddy to be.”

Those squiggles underneath were the words to be.

So for a short time, unbeknownst to us, mother and daughter were expecting at the same time.

And, Baby Danielle will be seven months old when she becomes an auntie.

DH is positively thrilled.  I am too, but he has been more antsy about becoming a grandparent than I. 

So now add to that “list as long as my arm”…get house into grandma & grandpa shape….Cause while there is no place like home the runner-up is grandma’s house.
