Take one small trailer + a small amount of snow = a great amount of fun!

Priceless.

This is about the strangest weather radar I have ever seen.

We are in a green area but the *rain* is falling as sleet/ice with a few puffy snowflakes mixed in.  Our school closed at 10:00 for high school drivers and 10:30 for bus riders.  FYI my oldest two attend public hs.
Here is that tree […]

Just an ordinary day

Just for the record the only one who had a chance of napping yesterday was the baby.  It was almost a nothing-but-driving day but I decided to put the 4H group’s tye-die project off until February.  That was a good decision as only 3 kids other than my own showed up for the meeting.
Today was a […]

Instead of putting down my gardening plans for the year…
Instead of searching for new tye-die techniques for 4H…
Instead of preparing a list of all our club did during the year for our first banquet in 2 years…
Instead of getting much delayed project journals finished…
Instead of more cleaning & de-cluttering…

Little Missey is growing closer to being able to eat solid foods meaning the label reading has begun.  Did you know that Gerber baby cereals have soy in the ingredient list?  Neither did I.  In discussing the senselessness of adding soy to plain cereal a ‘so what’ entered the conversation.  Explanations followed but it wasn’t […]

My new camera

For Christmas on of the gifts I received from dh was a new digital camera.  I have always used film and was usually pleased with the results.  My 110 finally died this past July and I had purchased a new Cannon on clearance $10 (regular $90).  It is a much nicer camera than the old […]

Welcome to my baby sister!! Known in previous posts as Sister C.
With my daughter also writing  it is interesting.
Reading online, visiting by phone, and talking in person all are so different–in a good kinda way.  Now I won’t have to tell her chicken butchering story which is a good thing as she is much funnier or more exasperated […]

Cheesy Chicken Goodness

Here’s that cheesy chicken recipe I promised so long ago.  Remember that I’m not posting definite amounts as it is another very forgiving recipe and I highly doubt that you would begin with “take ten pounds of chicken leg quarters”.  HOWEVER:  this is a several days recipe/menu so do make plenty.
First Day:
Chicken Leg Quarters–really do […]
