Just an ordinary day
Just for the record the only one who had a chance of napping yesterday was the baby. It was almost a nothing-but-driving day but I decided to put the 4H group’s tye-die project off until February. That was a good decision as only 3 kids other than my own showed up for the meeting.
Today was a good day. I decided that no matter what we would have daily Bible & songs because God is supposed to be first (though it doesn’t always seem that way) followed by math and reading everyday. Granted it is just a start but I’m in the midst of some heavy duty thinking about how to manage/get done everything that needs to be done.
Still…
Today was in the 60s…Hurray!!! We had dipped down into the 20s and my southern born children (and momma) were feeling frozen. Danielle was born in the 116F heatwave–winter is a huge change!
After lessons:
Exploring together
Almost there
What it’s all about
Home again
Another exploration–capturing those elusive feet!
Still on the agenda:
A decision about this tree. I have spent the past 4 years pruning it into a lovely light shade tree. It is at the end of the garden and is a lovely spot to sit for a rest. I have a metal bench that looks as though it were made for the spot. See the stump just beyond the fence? Its to the right of the tree *under* some vines on the fence. It was a large mulberry tree that completely shaded that corner of our yard. Now that is is gone the garden could expand into the corner. Problem–tree in the middle. My Dad says to cut it down we have plenty (we do) but…I trained it…and the other trees are old. But we could really use a bigger garden. So…
Yes this is a picture of my fridge’s freezer. See the pill bottles on the lower left & the red caps on the lower right? See canning jars scattered about in the back and even on peeking on the door? Think I’m some great food preserver? Ha Ha almost a bwaahaaa…nope! Those are insects waiting to get pinned in Lyn’s collection. Gotta get to that before spring and the next wave gets captured. At one time it was all insects and ice cubes in there. Doesn’t everyone have a science project in the fridge? Define nerd…
