Sooner or Later…

I am embarrassed

Or perhaps apologies to our Canadian neighbors.

Once again Martinzoo posted some more wonderful homeschool ideas.  While I love the idea of participating in the backyard bird count it isn’t going to happen this year.  But the tomatosphere project is entirely different.  Let’s see–nature study, gardening, 4H, and something Mommy loves to do–sounds like a winner!!

So with Little Missey in my lap, I clicked over and attempted to read what exactly we would be getting into.  While trying to keep the baby from pulling down the curtains and pulling the computer cords (this is important) and otherwise trying to keep her baby octopus arms out of harm I clicked the sign-up button.

Which eventually brought me here.  Please go look and come back.  See my problem…

There wasn’t anyplace to put my address.

Because I’m not Canadian…

And I’m not international…

So I battled the baby octopus arms and filled in everything but that pesky address figuring that if someone in authority wanted us they would call.  (and I could politely point out the error of the form)

Sure enough within 30 minutes a polite gentleman did call.  And he did ask about my address.  And as I tried to explain about the lack of address my brain switched on and I realized….I am international because this is sponsored by a Canadian firm.

I tried to explain but really just stepped into it up to my knees.  Oh I’m so sorry!  I’m so used to everything being US based that I never considered myself international.

And I never did.  Stephanie in AR.  NE AR.  Living in the largest town in the county with a population under 4,000.  What is international about that?  Canada is international.  Paris is international.  Shoot, even NY city is international but here?  No way!

Fortunately the gentleman was a gentleman.  He took my address, let me know when the seeds would be arriving, and said a cheerful good-bye.

I am still somewhat embarrassed but thankful to be properly enrolled.  Apologies to my Canadian neighbors for forgetting that other countries offer cool homeschooling ideas too.  Still its odd to think we are international…

heehee…

It’ll be fun! I can’t wait to see how you all like it.
Personally, I just love having a squirming baby on my lap and my face is as green with jealousy as it can get! :-)
