Sooner or Later…

Trip to Little Rock

Today was Dr. day. Drove 170 miles in 103F heat + a heat index.

Drove through, though during the day time:

From the far bridge:

To find that Little Missey is 2ft 7inches and 28lbs. She is at the top of the growth curve and midish for weight or tall & slim.

To confirm that she is developing normally. She toddled about the room, dancing to cell phone ringtones, very pleased with herself. After the endocrinologist & resident were present she toppled forward into the examining table leg. She settled down quickly but the red welt is still visible.

Our Mr. Ron the blood man is now going to school to become a nurse so we weren’t in his skilled hands. The new lab tech seems nice enough but doesn’t have Mr. Ron’s personality. Missey sat quietly during the whole draw.

Today Fyah went with us. He is her oldest brother and my second child. It was fun watching people wonder who was who. Grandma? Mother? Father? Brother? are they married…? lol

Drove home in more heat with a baby tired of riding. 3ish hours there and 3ish back - who can blame her? My back is complaining too.

Someday we may see this…but not because I voted for him.

Or ride this:

Now we wait to find how how her levels are. Adjustments or no. Next visit December - in time for decorations.

So how was your day?

I just found your blog, but I can say that though it was pretty in town today, you are right, it is terrible hot! Thanks for reminding me that I need to get out and see my city more! I hope everything works out well for ya!

Thankfully your dd waited until the Dr was present before she cracked her head… wouldn’t want them to think you beat your kid. ;-) You also need to pressure that res to stay with the peds endocrine route, and set up shop somewhere, like oh say, 30 min north of you? I couldn’t imagine driving 3 hrs to St. Louis for my endocrine appts. That would get old pretty quick.
