Once again Martinzoo posted some more wonderful homeschool ideas. While I love the idea of participating in the backyard bird count it isn’t going to happen this year. Just for the record the only one who had a chance of napping yesterday was the baby. It was almost a nothing-but-driving day but I decided to put the 4H group’s tye-die project off until February. That was a good decision as only 3 kids other than my own showed up for the meeting.

Our family uses the Ambleside Online for our curriculum. Right now we are using year 1 for Thomas and Lindsay and a loose combination of AO/HEO for Robert. One advantage is several areas are planned to be studied as a ‘group’ so that we don’t have to fool with 3 artists, 3 composers, or 3 Shakespeares. This is a […]

We had a rough fall semester–one that turned our homeschool into more of an unschool. The kids read whatever they wanted from Calvin & Hobbes to The Children’s Bible.
